The must-see shows of SXSW 2016
It’s SXSW Music time. There’s too much to see, too many bands, too little time, too many people, not enough drinks, too much good music to pass up. Let’s whittle it down a bit.
Big Thief: much buzzed about indie rock four piece from Brooklyn, NY. A little cutsey but solid tunes.
Little Simz: young, independent rapper out of the UK.
Thao & the Get Down Stay Down: alt folk rock band from San Francisco with a strong following.
WALL: horrible name, good band, of the NY post-punk variety.
Annabelle Chairlegs: Austin-based retro rock ‘n roll pop.
Broncho: a Norman, OK (yeah, for real) indie pop band.
Vaadat Charigim: dream pop from Tel Aviv, Israel.
The Chamanas: dreamy melodic pop from El Paso/Juarez.
