“Anyone Can Learn to Count in Chinese” Death to Giants

Death to Giants is a Shanghai-based experimental noise/death pop duo. Nichols on bass and Ivan on drums. I think that they sort of started just playing around here and there, probably more as a fun side project than anything else, but wouldn’t you know it — they’ve gotten pretty good, particularly in the last 6 months or so. They’re entertaining to see live and their songs are generally of the less-serious nature (often laugh out loud funny). They’re just good fun all around. They’ve made a video for one of their songs called “Anyone Can Learn to Count in Chinese” and it’s pretty cool.

First, it’s really well done; second, it’s short and snappy; and third, for anyone who’s familiar with the Shanghai music scene, it’s really amusing to see all the cameos. Also, you can actually learn how to count in Chinese (kinda), plus some other choice phrases.
